Privacy Policy – UNIT Party

UNIT Party Privacy Policy: learn how your personal data is collected, stored, and protected, and what your rights are under GDPR.

How we collect, store, and protect your personal data

The UNIT Party respects everyone’s privacy and, through this policy, explains how personal data is collected, used, and protected as part of its commitment to safeguarding privacy.

What data we collect

  • Usage data: IP address, active sessions, cookies, language preferences, and other automatically collected technical information.
  • Form data: membership, donations, volunteering, newsletter subscriptions, contact messages, or other forms published on the site or official channels.

How we use the data

Legal basis for processing

We process data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and national legislation, particularly Law no. 190/2018. Since May 25, 2018, data controllers are no longer required to register with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) but must fully comply with GDPR provisions. The legal bases for processing may include explicit consent, legal obligations of the UNIT Party, or legitimate interest. The UNIT Party is responsible for ensuring transparency, confidentiality, and data security, while ANSPDCP remains the competent supervisory authority in Romania.

  • Right to data portability – to transfer your data to you or another controller.
  • Right to object – to object to processing for marketing or other reasons related to your situation.
  • Rights related to automated decisions and profiling – to not be subject to decisions made solely by automated means.
